Once again, we are celebrating three remarkable milestones that stand for long-term loyalty and outstanding dedication. Claus Springfeld marks his 40th anniversary with BLOCK this year, while Eugen Weber and Kristof Waschek each look back on 25 successful years with the company.
To mark the occasion, our owner and CEO Wolfgang Reichelt invited the three employees to a joint celebration – an opportunity to recognize their exceptional contributions over the years.
“We are truly grateful for the continued loyalty and the valuable impact that Mr. Springfeld, Mr. Weber, and Mr. Waschek have made. Their experience and commitment have shaped our corporate culture and are a key part of our success.”

CLAUS SPRINGFELD – 40 YEARS OF DEDICATION AND PASSION
Claus Springfeld joined the BLOCK team in 1985 and has since had an impressive career. Trained as a toolmaker, he began by manufacturing punching tools and later took on responsibilities in quality control and training. Today, he is deputy department head and a central figure in our metalworking division. Claus has also shown remarkable dedication to his professional development: in the 1990s, he completed night school to become a certified master craftsman and continued to expand his qualifications. “What motivates me is finding the best technical and economic solution for every product – big or small,” he says. His colleagues value his expertise and many years of experience, which make him an indispensable part of the team.
EUGEN WEBER AND KRISTOF WASCHEK – 25 YEARS OF SHARED SUCCESS
Eugen Weber celebrates his 25th anniversary with BLOCK this year. He joined the company in 2000 through an internship that quickly led to a permanent position in our shipping department. Over the years, he has witnessed numerous developments, especially in terms of technical progress. New equipment and a growing team have significantly improved working conditions in his area. Eugen also fondly remembers one special highlight: BLOCK’s 80th anniversary celebration, which he enjoyed together with his family, colleagues, and their loved ones. “It’s great to be part of this team,” says Eugen Weber.
Kristof Waschek likewise joined BLOCK in 2000 and has since contributed significantly to the custom assembly of transformers and reactors. In addition to final assembly, he produces many initial prototypes that later go into series production. Originally from Silesia, Kristof found a new professional path at BLOCK after having previously worked in the mining industry. The job offered him significantly better prospects – and he particularly values the friendly, cooperative atmosphere among his colleagues. “It’s a joy to work in such a motivated team,” says Kristof Waschek.
At BLOCK, the workplace is more than just a job – it’s a place where people grow, support each other, and find strong, lasting connections built on respect and collaboration.
