Uwe Bialowons and Heiner Grothenn have been part of our company for decades. Uwe Bialowons began his apprenticeship with us in 1981, followed by Heiner Grothenn five years later. Today, they look back on 45 and 40 years at BLOCK respectively. Both have witnessed numerous technical and organizational changes and have helped shape their respective areas of work through decades of experience. Our CEO Wolfgang Reichelt congratulated both colleagues on these special milestones and thanked them for their long-standing dedication.

Uwe Bialowons started his apprenticeship as an electrical equipment mechanic in 1981 before continuing his training as an energy equipment electronics technician. While still an apprentice, he moved to our development department, where he stayed after completing his training. Since then, he has worked in various areas and experienced our company’s transformation firsthand over four and a half decades. With a touch of humor, he now describes himself as one of the last “dinosaurs” in the company. The friendships formed during this time mean a great deal to him: He met some of his closest friends here at BLOCK.
Heiner Grothenn began his apprenticeship as a toolmaker with us in 1986. After gaining experience in production, he continued his professional development alongside his work, qualifying as a master toolmaker. Today, he manufactures tools, fixtures, and prototype parts for production, developing his own solutions along the way. He sets high standards for himself and his work. His family is an important source of support and motivation.
