We welcome you to the BLOCK Transformatoren-Elektronik GmbH company page on XING. We use the technical platforms and services of XING AG ("XING ") to provide these company pages.

XING is a social network that, in addition to creating private profiles, also enables the creation of company pages. For example, photos, videos and other company information can be uploaded on these pages. Other XING users have access to this information and can share and comment on this content. In the same way these users can also write their own posts and tag BLOCK in these on their private pages.

In order for you to feel comfortable using the BLOCK company page on XING, we make transparent for you which personal data we process and, among other things, also present the legally defined rights that exist for you in connection with the processing. Personal data are all data that can be related to you personally, e.g. name, email address or user behavior.

2. Information about the processing of personal data by BLOCK

As the operator of the BLOCK company page on XING, BLOCK has access to statistical evaluations concerning access of the BLOCK company page. This data is available in an aggregated and anonymized form and does not allow BLOCK to draw any conclusions about the individual visitors to the BLOCK company website. BLOCK uses the statistical evaluations in order to make the information provided to visitors of the BLOCK company website attractive on a continuing basis and to align it with user interests. 

If users are logged into XING via a user account when the BLOCK company page is called up, selected profile master data, such as the branch of the user's employer, can also be included in the statistical evaluations. This information is not available if you log out of your XING account beforehand. 

Visitors to the BLOCK company website also have the opportunity, within the context of visiting the website, to use interactive functions, such as the like, share or comment functions. This use generally requires the visitor to log into XING. With this use, personal data and information are visible for BLOCK and also for other visitors to the company website and a direct identification of a person can potentially be made. BLOCK has no influence on the interactive functionalities and the visibility of user activities on the BLOCK company website at XING. 

At this juncture, we explicitly wish to point out that the BLOCK company page on XING can of course also be visited without using these interactive functionalities. 

The BLOCK company website also offers the option of contacting BLOCK by message using the specified contact channels. The information transmitted in this way is processed on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 Clause f GDPR (legitimate interest). We use this information only for the purpose of answering inquiries in a targeted manner.

BLOCK, as the operator of the company page on XING, cannot rule out that XING transmits user data to third countries and processes it there.

4. The rights of visitors

Visitors have the right to receive information about the processing of the data subject's personal data as well as the information detailed in Art. 15 GDPR. If the data subject's personal data is incorrect or incomplete, the rectification or completion of this data may be requested (Art. 16 GDPR). If one of the reasons listed in Art. 17 GDPR exists, you have the right to request the immediate erasure of your personal data. Under the conditions of Art. 18 GDPR, the restriction of processing can be requested and according to Art. 20 GDPR, the right to data portability. 

Under the conditions of Art. 21 GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data.

If one is of the opinion that the processing of the respective personal data violates provisions of the GDPR, a complaint can be submitted to a supervisory authority, for example, to the State Commissioner for Data Protection in Lower Saxony, Hannover, as the supervisory authority with jurisdiction for us (Art. 77 GDPR).
